Clarithromycin Cardiac Death Risk Reported

Widely-deployed bacterial infections treatment drug clarithromycin is linked to a heightened cardiac events risk, according to the British Medical Journal’s newly-published study.
Those behind it now urge for more research into this association to take place, based on the millions of patients which each year take this antibiotic. As it stands, the clarithromycin/heart deaths risk is minimal and, so far, GPs are not advised to alter present prescribing procedures involving the drug until the point that more results surface.
