Pharma Firms Boost Sochi Olympics Drug-Tests

Some of the Pharmaceutical industry’s biggest and best-known names are involved in the 2014 Winter Olympics’ drug-testing programme. Their efforts are helping ensure the Sochi Olympics is a doping-free zone.

No preceding Winters Olympics has focused so much on ensuring performance-enhancing drugs cannot affect sporting outcomes. As such, pre- and post-games checks are being carried out en-masse. Supporting these efforts, GlaxoSmithKline, Roche, Amgen and others are supplying officials with previously unpublished information.
